Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what data flixave (“we”, “us”) collects when you use our website and mobile applications, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Our principle is simple: private by default. We collect the minimum needed to run the service, and we never sell your data.
Data we collect
- Account data: your e-mail address and display name when you create an account.
- Saved content: the links, screenshots and clips you share to flixave, and the titles our AI identifies from them.
- Usage data: which streaming service or ticket seller you open from flixave, and which titles you mark as watched — recorded so we can show what is popular, never attached to you outside flixave.
- What you write: the score you give a title, and the one short comment you may leave about it.
- Device data: device model, OS version and language, used for compatibility and localization — and, if you allow notifications, a device notification token so reminders can reach that device.
How we use your data
- To identify and save the movies and shows you share (our core service).
- To show where a title is legally available to stream.
- To send reminders you set up — never marketing spam.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
- To comply with legal obligations.
AI processing
When you share content to flixave, our systems analyze its caption, on-screen text, audio and metadata to identify the movie or show. This processing is automated, happens only on content you actively share, and is used solely to provide the service. Shared content is not used to build advertising profiles.
Ratings and comments
flixave lets you give a title a score and leave one short comment about it. A published comment shows only the avatar picture you chose in the app — never your name, your e-mail address, or anything else that points back to you. There are no profiles, no replies, no followers and no way to find someone's other comments.
Every comment is checked before anyone else can read it. The check is automated: a term list and, only for what that flags, an AI model (Groq, with zero data retention — your comment is not stored there or used for training). Anything the check cannot clear is not published, and the reason is shown to you in your own language. Anyone can report a comment in one tap, which hides it immediately for re-checking, and anyone can block another person, after which they see nothing that person writes. Blocks are stored as a link between two accounts and are never shown to the person blocked.
Your comments and scores are deleted with your account. You can also delete any single comment yourself, at any time, and its reports go with it.
Third parties
We use a small number of service providers to run flixave: cloud hosting and database services, a movie metadata database (e.g. TMDb) and streaming-availability data providers. They process data only on our behalf and under contract. We do not sell personal data to anyone, and we do not show third-party ads. What we do share with partners is counts — how many people saved a film, how many opened a streaming link — and a title only enters those counts once at least 5 different people have saved it, so a count can never point at one person.
Data retention & deletion
Your saved titles stay in your inbox until you delete them. You can delete individual items, or delete your entire account at any time from the app. Deleting your account removes your list, your preferences, your reminders and your login itself — immediately, not on a schedule. There is no soft delete and we keep no backup copy. You can also request deletion by e-mailing us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and Türkiye's KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We respond within 30 days.
Children
flixave is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page, with an updated date above.
